Just read Stephen King’s It will be turned into a 2-part film by director Carey Fukunaga of True Detective fame.
There was an early 1990’s made for TV version. I recall being scared crapless by it. I’d probably laugh at it now. It did star the late great John Ritter aka Jack Tripper.
Many of you recently noted under one of my posts that you rank this as one of your favorite novels. What do you think. Will Hollywood do It justice?

Bookshelf Battle 
I still thoroughly enjoy the original 2-parter, myself. I am not sure how well they can replace Pennywise, only because Tim Curry set the bar extremely high for clowns in horror roles (Twisty in this season’s AHS, for example, had potential but in the end was a let down). Stephen King approves of the remake, so I have to hold out faith and I’ll absolutely be checking it out 🙂
Sigh, I just feel bad for clowns. They were just starting to put the 1990’s version behind them. Now clown college applications will start taking drastic hits.
