I’ve never read this book. Its sheer size is intimidating. I’ve read The Three Musketeers and thoroughly enjoyed it. But this quote is accurate. We spend so much of our lives waiting for what we want and hoping it will happen.

“The Count of Monte Cristo” IS long, but very hard to put down. A page-turner that’s probably the greatest revenge tale ever.

I loved it. You should totally read it. They do make abridged versions ~_^
I need the Cliff Notes version
In one word…brilliant. One of my favourites. Simple story on the face of it but complex underneath, I think Dumas is one of the finest storytellers to have graced our Earth.
