Can We Get #OscarsSoPretty Trending on Twitter?

Hello 3.5 Readers.

Anti-ugly discrimination advocate Bookshelf Q. Battler here.  You know, in my previous missive I mentioned that #OscarsSoPretty was a thing on Twitter.

Well, I looked into it some more.  Technically, it is, but only a few people had used the hashtag before I mentioned it.  So I feel we have an opportunity to make history here. Perhaps I can use my skills as a blogger for a website with 3.5 readers to get this movement going.

If you’re a proud ugly American, please tweet your support for #OscarsSoPretty.

We will not rest until Buscemi takes home the gold.

  1. John Charet's avatar John Charet says:

The only way for Steve Buscemi to get the gold would be If some high profile director or writer gives him a role he could sink his teeth into. Then again, he could probably get negelcted easily by the Academy. Either way, keep up the great work as always 🙂

    • Well…look at his body of work. Reservoir Dogs. Critically acclaimed and praised. No nomination. Fargo. That movie was all in the Oscars. Did he get anything? Nope. He was a little bug eyed guy so of course they put him in the role of degenerate hitman instead of like a noble hero or something.

That’s part of the problem. People just can’t comprehend the idea of an ugly hero.

  2. Funny stuff. I will definitely use the hashtag.
