Marvel’s got a new movie trailer for Doctor Strange. Surgeon who becomes like a magic space wizard or something. Admittedly, I don’t know much about it as Doctor S is one of Marvel’s lesser known characters.
The trailer looks like the movie borrows from the Matrix and Inception.
What say you, 3.5?

I can’t wait! I love the Marvel movies but they have been skewing more sci-fi lately, I’m really looking forward to some ridiculous magic and mysticism.

Have you read the comic? I’m not very familiar with Doctor Strange. It looks like Marvel is going to make a movie for every character they have.
I’m only familiar with Doctor Strange through Neil Gaiman’s 1592, which was amazing, and the parody of Strange on The Venture Bros, Doctor Byron Orpheus. So I know he’s a sorcerer mysterious type with a taste for the theatrical, which is right up my alley. The trailer looks very serious but I’m hoping they throw in some of that great Marvel character humor!
Eh, I don’t mind. The Marvel Machine is getting a lot of other comics and games made into movies – albeit with varying levels of quality, but they can’t all be perfect. I’m just enjoying this wave !

Marvel has done good with the lesser knowns. Ant Man was a lesser known and that was a great movie. This could be good.
