Your choices are:
A) Jimmy Fallon
B) Darrell Hammond on SNL
C) Alec Baldwin on SNL, who just started doing one this past weekend.
Tough call – I thought the sketch where Jimmy as Trump interviewed the real Trump was funny but I think I have to go with Hammond because he’s such a master impressionist and has been impersonating Trump for a long time, long before the whole presidential race hullaballoo.
What say you, 3.5 readers?
I haven’t seen the other two, BUT I do think Baldwin definitely captured the character and the essence(?) of Trump.
Baldwin. Nailed it.
Agreed. I thought Baldwin nailed it.
Hammond’s Trump is more realistic. Baldwin’s is more of a parody, but much funnier.
I’ve noticed a difference amongst Trumps as there are more than these three but I can’t think of their names. Some just make their voice go low and some focus on the New York accent. There’s a Trump divergence.
What is the collective term for Trumps? We have a pod of whales, a murder of crows…how about a swindle of Trumps?
Meanwhile Kate McKinnon has cornered the Hillary Clinton market but I would like to see more Hillary impressions. That kid that did impressions at his graduation then ended up on Jimmy Fallon does the best Hillary.
Amy Pohler used to do a good Hillary impression as well. She was able to give the smile that didn’t quite reach the eyes.
